Russell “Buckshot” Werner

age 65, of Wausaukee, died unexpectedly Wednesday January 10, 2024, at a Green Bay Hospital. He was born in Norway, Mich. on November 10, 1958; son of Russell and Helen (Nutt) Werner. He graduated from Wausaukee High School in 1977 and from there he worked for Asplundh for many years. Buckshot loved deer hunting, bowling and playing softball. He played for many different softball leagues including Belgium Town, Boulevard, and Star Corners to name a few. He also enjoyed walleye fishing with his father.

Buckshot is survived by his wife, Nikki; father, Russ; children: Amanda (fiancé Brian Myers) Fifarek, RJ (Kristin) Werner; and Anna (Danon) DeDamos; step-children: Ian Thames and Leila (fiancé Brett Carlson) Plunger; five grandchildren: Kassidy, Randy, Nathan, Alexis, and Rosco; great grandson, Luca; brother, Frank Werner; special aunt, Carol Whitman; two nieces and one nephew; and special friends: Jason Fifarek and Julie Walters. He was preceded in death by mother, Helen; and sister, Kathy.

A Celebration of Life will take place from 3pm until 7pm on Friday January 19, 2024, at the Amberg Community Center. Burial will be in Amberg Cemetery this spring.

Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee is assisting his family with arrangements.
