Pauline H. “Polly” Jakups

age 92, of Pembine, went home to be with the Lord peacefully Monday April 15, 2019, at Reflections at Moraine Ridge in Green Bay.  She was born in Pembine on October 16, 1926; daughter of the late Roy and Lillian (Jennings) Newling.  Pauline was united in marriage to her husband Charles on July 22, 1946, at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Pembine where they continue to be parish members.  They had a 72 year long love affair.  Pauline and Charlie owned and operated the Port Supper Club for 43 years.  She enjoyed golfing, bowling, was an excellent cook and loved her pets but more than anything she loved her family.  She and Charlie also loved watching the Milwaukee Bucks.  Their house was the gathering place for all, providing many fond family memories. 

Pauline is survived by her loving husband, Charlie; children:  Steve (Nancy) Jakups, Christine (David) Vought, and David (Therese) Jakups; grandchildren:  Mark (Connie), Melanie, Clint, Tyler (Samantha), Kyle and Mathew; great grandchildren:  Gunner, Alyssa, Hailey, Alexandria, Samantha, Elizabeth, Luke, Ariel, Emily and Gavin; her brother, William Newling; a special niece, Lorie Gravelle; and numerous extended family and friends.  She is preceded in death by grandchildren:  Treve and Megan; and siblings:  Andrew, Harriet, Merta, Rosetta, Charlotte, Roy, Jeanette, and Willard.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 12pm on Tuesday April 23, 2019, at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Pembine.  Family and friends may visit from 10am until the time of Mass at church.  Burial will be in the Pembine Cemetery in May.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Pauline’s name.

Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee is assisting the family with arrangements.
