Loretta J. Millette

age 83, of Goodman, passed away peacefully Sunday November 5, 2023, at a Green Bay Hospital. She was born December 4, 1939 in Laona; daughter of the late John and Agnes (Krueger) Matelski. She graduated from Laona High School and soon thereafter was united in marriage to Raymond “Chet” Millette at St. Leonard Catholic Church on June 28, 1958. He preceded Loretta in death on July 3, 2019. She worked at the Goodman Veneer Mill for almost 40 years. Loretta was very involved with her community and surrounding areas. She truly enjoyed helping others and lending an ear. She was a 50+ year member of St. Joan Catholic Church and belonged to the Christian Mothers Society. She also was a 42 year member of the Goodman Rescue Squad and strongly encouraged the community to assist the squad if they were able to. Loretta and Chet enjoyed traveling all over the world together. She was a fantastic cook and was well known for making her homemade pierogies.

Loretta is survived by her children: Diane (Benjamin) Renkas, Gregory (Jodee) and David Millette; two grandsons: Bryan and Daniel; and two great grandchildren: Christopher and Frydrick. Including her husband, Chet, she was preceded in death by son, Todd; and siblings: Ray, Leslie, Larry, John and Helen.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am on Saturday November 11, 2023, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Goodman with Father Soja Joseph officiating. Visitation will start at 9am and continue until the time of mass. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery in Goodman.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be made to the Goodman Rescue Squad.

Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee is assisting Loretta’s family with services.

So sorry to hear of Loretta's passing. She was my classmate for many years, and we graduated together in 1957 from Wabeno High School (not Laona High School). We have many good memories from our high school years and double dated many times with Goodman boys. Rest in Peace, Loretta.
