Joann Marie Kudirko

Apr 24, 1953 - Jan 16, 2022

loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 16, 2022. She was born in Neenah on April 24, 1953; daughter of the late Edwin and Dorothy (Gross) Scherer. Joann was united in marriage to Steven Carl Kudirko on March 30, 1973, at Holy Name Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Together they raised three wonderful children. They spent a fulfilled life together creating memories; especially every year as she planned vacations for the family. Early vacations were taken “up north” where all of us learned the love of the great outdoors. Joann had a wide array of interest. She loved going to the beach, boating, fishing and she had a special place in her heart for gardening. She had a zest for anything music, especially theater which she was involved with for so many years. She was loved by all who knew her. She adored her husband Steve, always making sure he was ok. Joann always put everyone else first and will be forever remembered for her unconditional love, she had a way with words and her knack for telling the truth. Family time meant the world to her, especially, spending time with her grandchildren.

Joann is survived by her husband, Steve; two children: Cindy (Mark Marshek) Kudirko and Paul (Brenda Trudell) Kudirko; four grandchildren; Trinity, Gillian, Alexis and Trent; and four siblings: Gail (Scott) Hoerz of Sun Prairie, Rick (Kitty) Scherer of Sheboygan Falls, Ron Scherer of Antioch, IL, and Carol (Dean) Schwenzen of Cedarburg. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth James.

Joann’s family will greet friends from 1pm until her Celebration of Life service at 2pm on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Roubal Funeral Home.

Feeling the loss, I will forever remember my sister Joann as a fun-loving source of energy and laughter. No matter how somber the occasion she could always be counted on to lighten the mood with her sense of humor. A part of her will forever live on in my heart.

Best neighbors I ever had. Joann we always loved to hear you hum and sing as you would be doing anything in your backyard. Always had a goodtime hanging out with you and Steve in your heated garage drinking beer , talking, cracking jokes, etc. RIP our friend.
