Elaine R. Butterfield

age 91, formerly of Wausaukee, died Sunday September 11, 2022. She was born in Amberg on May 4, 1931; daughter of the late William and Evelyn (Van Kirk) Anglemyer. Elaine married John Butterfield on May 27, 1950 and they were united in marriage until his death on October 26, 2013. She enjoyed walking, gardening, canning, and was famous for her homemade pies. She loved cooking and baking as well as fishing especially for Coho Salmon. Elaine and her husband made maple syrup for 40 years. She will be sorely missed.

Elaine is survived by her three daughters: Connie Crouch, Pam (Pete) Skudlark, and Colleen (Esteban) Delgadillo; 9 grandchildren: Amy (Tim), Jenny (Wil), Gina, Erin (David), Naomi (Stephen), Seth, Aleisha, Melissa (Brandon), and Raymond (Courtney); seven great grandchildren: Jay Lynne, Morgan, Katlyn, Sedona, Gavin, Daxton, and Ariah; great great grandson, Everett; siblings: Carol Miller, Richard Anglemyer, Betty (Phil) Anderson, and Dean (Marcie) Anglemyer; and son-in-law, Ken. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; daughter, Janine; and siblings: David, Karen, Mary, and Allen.

Visitation will be on Thursday September 15, 2022, at Northwoods Chapel in Pembine from 9:30am until the time of her funeral at 11am with Pastor Fred Barribeau officiating. Burial will be in the Amberg Cemetery following the funeral.

Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee is assisting Elaine’s family with arrangements.

Prayers for the family. I lived right across road from her for many years. Think there was not a day I didn’t see her walk. I always told her she never seemed to look any older and she laughed and said maybe not but my body knows my age. A great lady to call cousin.
