age 86, of Lakewood, passed away Tuesday morning January 15, 2019, at Lakewood Assisted Living Center. She was born May 10, 1932 in Lakewood to Francis and Ida (Schuett) Smyth. She loved to travel and visited Mexico, Canada, Brazil, England, and Ireland. She lived in Silver Cliff, Sturgeon Bay, Long Beach, CA, and Antigo. She owned and operated the Pantry Restaurant in Lakewood from 1963 to 1975. She was preceded in death by her son Allan Betts, her parents, and brother Hugh Smyth, sisters: June Peek, Micky Keesler, Fran Jackson, and Eileen Conley. She is survived by her brother, Dan Smyth, nieces: Cheri Spletter, Ginger Szykowny, Pat Conley, Donna Rebello, Roselle Smyth, and nephews: Vern Keesler, Jim Jackson, and Lonny Jackson.
She left the suds in the bucket and the clothes on the line, you can’t fence God’s love nor fence God’s time. Betty will be buried in Forest Home Cemetery in Athelstane on Wednesday January 23, 2019, at 11am.
