age 82, formerly from Athelstane, passed away peacefully Thursday June 18, 2020, at Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. He was born in Athelstane on July 7, 1937; son of the late Ernest and Magdalena (Popp) Witzke. Paul was united in marriage to Jeannette Jutrzonka on July 30, 1977, at the Community Lutheran Church in McAllister. Paul worked for the Town of Athelstane for over 40 years. He was an animal lover and enjoyed hunting and fishing especially for trout in Canada. He was a good and honest man and was loved by all who knew him.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Jeannette; his daughter, Jennifer (Robert) Kantor; two grandchildren: Tanya (Jeremy Foth) Kantor and Robert (Jamelia Knight) Kantor; four great grandchildren: Parker, Ja’marcus, Jackie and Amelia; sister, Adeline Waskow; and further survived by numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Arnold, and four sisters: Marie, Lorna, Arlene, and Eleanor.
Visitation for Paul will be held on Tuesday June 23, 2020, at Roubal Funeral Home from 11am until the time of his funeral service at 1pm. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery in Athelstane with full military honors.

Jeanette, my condolences on your loss of Paul. My parents, Norman & Mimi Jensen talked of him often, what a good and kind person he was! I remember the stories of al, the individuals he helped while working for the Town of Athelstane. May God bless you Jeanette, Lin Wittmann
