Marcella “Marcie” Sedlar

age 83, of Crivitz, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday September 27, 2020. She was born in Crivitz on November 29, 1936; daughter of the late William and Helen (Klatkiewicz) Wankowski. Marcie was born and raised on the family farm in Crivitz and graduated from Crivitz High School. She was united in marriage to Lewis “Lew” Sedlar on May 29, 1954 at St. Mary Catholic Church. The couple moved to Milwaukee and she worked at Bank One as a data processor until 1976 when they moved back to Crivitz. She worked at the Crivitz High School in the kitchen as a dishwasher, at Campbird in the kitchen, bartended at Highview Golf Course and retired from the Crivitz Post Office. Marcie enjoyed quilting, golfing, bowling and having an occasional drink. She will be missed.

Marcella is survived by her children: Michael Sedlar of Neenah, Lawrence Sedlar of Crivitz, Kenneth (Lois) Sedlar of Green Bay, and Joyce (Marc) Wene of Crivitz; eight grandchildren: Jake, Ellen, Peter, Travis, Brad, Drew, Chris, Jenny; four great grandchildren; three siblings: Angeline, Alvin and Jean; and life-long friend, Georgene Wene. She was preceded in death by her husband Lew; and eight siblings: Catherine, Joseph, Carl, Irene, Sherman, Clarence, Regina and Joan.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Mary Catholic Church in Crivitz from 10am until the time of Mass at 12pm on Saturday October 31, 2020. Father David Schmidt will be officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Unity Hospice of DePere.

Marcie’s family would like to send a sincere thank you to all the caregivers, especially Kathy Monville, Lynda Rowell and Laura Stratton.

 

Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee is assisting Marcella’s family with arrangements.
