Karen A. Konop

age 78, of Crivitz, passed away peacefully at home on Monday February 8, 2021. She was born in Cream City (Oconto) on June 5, 1942; daughter of the late Clair and Mabel (DeHut) Routheau. Karen enjoyed riding horses throughout her younger years. She rode in rodeos and entered many horse shows. She graduated from Oconto High School in 1960 and then flew to Denver, CO with her girlfriends to start her working career. In a few years she then went to LA until settling in Arizona. She worked many years for the Attorney General’s Office in Arizona. She came back home and was united in marriage to Jim Konop on January 27, 1997 in Key West, FL and the couple resided in Twin Bridge area. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Karen is survived by her husband, Jim; son, Scott Konop; grandson, Ethan; and two brothers and one sister: Rodney (Bev) Routheau, Penny Abut, and Clark (Julie) Routheau. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Roger.

Visitation for Karen will be held at Roubal Funeral Home on Monday February 15, 2021 from 12pm until the time of her funeral service at 2pm. Scott Severson will be officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Oconto this spring.

Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee is assisting Karen’s family.

Dear Jimmie and family. John and I just found out that Karen had passed away. We were shocked and couldn't believe it. We are deeply sorry for your loss. We hadn't seen Karen for a few years, and often thought of you both. She was always so sweet and we really liked her a lot.Our prayers are with you during this very sad time.
