Edwin F. “Ed” Fruehe

Age 84, formerly of Pembine, passed away on his birthday November 25, 2020, at Lake Shore Assisted Living in Lake Tomahawk, WI. Ed was born November 25, 1936 in Evanston, IL; son of the late Arnold and Maime (Mattison) Fruehe. Ed served his Country honorably in the Air Force from 1957 until 1960 and earned a Good Conduct Medal.

Ed is survived by his daughter, Becky (Joe) Blaser; two grandchildren: Morgan and Joey; his brother and sister: Ronald (Christine) Fruehe and Sandra (Donald) Janisch; and further survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie; son, Scott; sister, Selene (Patrick) Mickelson; and brother, Gilbert Fruehe.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a visitation on Tuesday December 1, 2020, at Roubal Funeral Home from 10am until 10:45. Committal Service will be held at 11am in the Pembine Cemetery with Pastor Gene Wickman officiating. Full Military Honors will be provided by Pembine American Legion Post #461.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nursing staff at Ascension Hospice who kindly cared for Ed with compassion and sincerity.

I loved going to Pembine. Uncle Ed had an amazing shop with unlimited treasures. You never knew what he would be tinkering on a go-kart, motorcycle, tree fort, snowmobiles. He had a great laugh and a fun sense of humor. Rest In Peace, Uncle Ed.
