Donald “Don” Engel

age 92, of Wausaukee, died at home on November 23, 2022. He was born in Goodman on October 25, 1930; son of the late John and Adeline Engel Sr. Don served his country honorably in the United States Army. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and going for longs walks. He was a life-time member of AL #294 of Hartland and member of the VFW in Armstrong Creek/Goodman. Don thoroughly enjoyed dressing up as a clown and being pulled by a red fire truck while he was on his skis during the 4th of July parade. He truly was a people person and loved talking to everyone.
Don is survived by his daughter, Darlene Koser; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fern; son, Donald Jr; daughters: Mary and Susan; and 4 siblings.
Burial will be in Village of Hartland Cemetery at a later date.
Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee is assisting his family.

Darlene and family
My heart is heavy for you. I loved your Dad and respected his determination and grit. He was always so wonderful to me and I so looked forward to seeing him. Greatness isn’t measured by awards one wins but in one’s strength of character so by that measure your Dad was a great man. Someday I plan to see him again.
